A warm welcome: EWS Madeira

If you traveled to Madeira from the 4th of May to 31st of May, you certainly came across a mountain bike expo about the riding in the island but also about the first Enduro World Series ever in Portugal. Aeroporto da Madeira and Vinci Airport said 'yes' to the idea of taking mountain biking to the first way point as you arrive to Madeira - a first glimpse about the good things during your visit. According to our calculations, Madeira airport welcomed more than 250.000 people during May.

Related to that, we also welcomed the Enduro World Series from the 8th to 14th May, which means that  all riders, journalists, organizers and teams were saluted by a mountain bike scene of the island. Once you stepped out of the plane, after landing in Cristiano Ronaldo Airport (FNC), you immediately spotted Specialized, a recognized brand that has been working with Freeride Madeira for the last couple years in partnership with MZ Bike. Some riders claimed that they've traveled the World but never saw such a warm welcome and it really was a perfect way to get everyone excited for the race weekend and to find more about Madeira mountain bike scene.

For the expo area, Specialized provided us with 'Enduro', 'Demo', 'Epic Hardtail' and 'Camber' latest models, as well as some mountain biking gear. Find out more about Specialized, www.specialized.com.

We would like to thank Aeroporto da Madeira and Vinci Airports for giving us the chance to show this amazing sport to everyone that visits Madeira!
